The Victim Rights Law Center is leading a new response to sexual violence. As a VRLC intern or volunteer, you will make a difference in the lives of rape and sexual assault victims and help to rebuild their lives. Our interns and volunteers share our commitment to end sexual violence.
The VRLC often has internship opportunities for law students. Please contact our Massachusetts intern coordinator and/or Oregon intern coordinator to inquire about available internship opportunities at the VRLC. Click here for information on applying for future internships.
PLEASE NOTE: There are currently no internships available for undergraduate students.
Pro Bono Attorney Program
In providing civil legal assistance to sexual assault victims, the VRLC relies substantially on volunteer attorneys. Our pro bono attorney program, the Rape Survivors’ Law Project, pairs rape and sexual assault victims with trained volunteer attorneys and paraprofessionals who give them a voice in the legal system. If you are interested or have questions, please contact us.
Shining Star Gala
The Shining Star Gala, which occurs annually, is planned by the all-volunteer Shining Star Gala Committee and runs smoothly thanks to the help of generous volunteers. If you are interested in developing relationships for the VRLC, fundraising, assisting with the auction, or event planning, please contact us.
Serving on a Committee, the Advisory Council, or the Board of Directors is a very meaningful way to volunteer and support those we serve.
The Victim Rights Law Center's Board of Directors is a dedicated group of professionals committed to the mission of the organization. New members to the Board of Directors are typically recruited from Shining Star Gala Committee, Development Committee, and the Advisory Council.
The VRLC's Development Committee is currently recruiting volunteers. If you interested in fundraising, please e-mail us.
The VRLC's newly created Advisory Council is comprised of individuals who champion the mission of the VRLC and who offer their skills and perspectives to benefit the organization. For example, mentoring a staff attorney in a particular area of law, reviewing internal policies or brainstorming on marketing and public relations. If you're interested in serving on the Advisory Council, please e-mail us.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Other volunteer opportunities may become available for projects on an as-needed basis. If you are interested in learning about volunteer opportunities we currently have available, please contact us.
