Sponsorship

Wondering how your company can get involved?

In an era of #MeToo and Time’s Up, a sponsorship of the VRLC's National Sexual Violence Law Conference would ensure attorneys nationwide are equipped to provide sexual assault survivors with the best possible legal representation to help survivors stay safely in their homes, jobs, and schools. Last year’s popular conference – the only of its kind – brought together attorneys from across the country to learn how to identify and use civil legal remedies to respond to the needs of sexual assault survivors. Attendees learned to integrate sexual assault legal services into their organizations, build advocacy skills, and create a community of attorneys to provide survivor-centered services with a trauma-informed approach and an empowerment foundation. Workshops offered included addressing defamation claims to understanding incapacitation to utilizing electronic evidence; encompassing the most comprehensive, current information available.

The VRLC is the first non-profit law center in the country dedicated to using civil legal services to help survivors of sexual violence stabilize their lives in the critical areas of education, employment, housing, privacy, safety, immigration, and financial stability. Our attorneys provide free, comprehensive legal services for survivors of sexual violence to help them rebuild their lives, and promote a national movement committed to seeking justice for every rape and sexual assault victim. Our attorneys are nationally recognized experts in the legal remedies available to address the legal issues many sexual assault survivors face. This conference is the annual opportunity for attorneys to come together for two days and experience a robust curriculum created by our expert team, and an excellent opportunity to highlight your products and resources to legal professionals around the country.
