Resources for Victims

The Victim Rights Law Center is the first law center in the nation dedicated solely to advocating for the civil legal needs of sexual assault survivors.  The VRLC provides direct legal representation to victims of rape and sexual assault throughout Massachusetts and in Multnomah and Washington Counties, Oregon

If you have been raped or sexually assaulted, we believe you have the right to make your own choices about how to respond to what has happened to you.  Our goal is to give sexual assault victims information regarding their civil legal needs to reclaim their lives.  Please review the VRLC's area of expertise.

The VRLC provides holistic civil legal services to sexual assault victims, particularly to traditionally underserved populations such as: male victims; youth and college-age victims; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender victims; victims with disabilities; low-income urban victims, including immigrants; and victims living in rural communities.

Wondering about all this Title IX talk? You can click here to see our guide to help you better understand your rights. While reading through the guide, it is important to know that at times, Title IX tells schools what they must do. At other times, Title IX gives guidance on what schools should do. There's a big difference legally, but we wanted you to be aware of both.
