Dating Violence

What is considered a “dating relationship” depends on the circumstances. You may be involved with someone and not consider it dating, but the law might define it that way. Additionally, you may also consider yourself to be dating someone, but the law does not (like extended online communications).

Stalking

Stalking is usually directed at a specific person and causes that person to fear for their safety or the safety of another person, or cause that person to suffer emotional distress.

Stalking can happen through social media in addition to phones, e-mail, and text messaging.

Remember, you have the right to define your own boundaries and decide what is comfortable for you.
If someone’s behavior makes you feel uncomfortable, trust that instinct.

Harassment
