Survivors’ Stories – A 35-Minute Film

Survivors’ Stories is a 35 minute film that portrays a sexual assault and its aftermath on a college campus. It captures the social setting in which many sexual assaults take place – generally among friends and acquaintances and involving alcohol.

We encourage everyone to watch this film, especially students and education professionals, so that you can see for yourself how rape impacts multiple lives. In the film, after the sexual assault, the victim gradually seeks help – first from friends, then a nurse, then a private attorney, then counselors, police and prosecutors. Meanwhile the assailant gradually has his world break down around him and is eventually forced to leave school. The film will help you learn about the medical, social and legal consequences of sexual assault, and help you to minimize these consequences in your own life.
