Are you a new VAWA grantee?  Are you an experienced VAWA grantee who is not yet familiar with the new VAWA confidentiality regulations that went into effect December 2016?  If so, this is the webinar for you!  The Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC) is a national technical assistance provider on privacy issues for all OVW grantees.  VRLC is offering this interactive, 1-hour, webinar to help lawyers, advocates, and other OVW grantees understand and apply VAWA’s confidentiality requirements. The webinar will provide an overview of the basic VAWA confidentiality requirements, including the most recent confidentiality regulations, followed by a discussion of frequently asked questions such as: When does VAWA allow the release of a survivor’s confidential information? What is required for a VAWA-compliant release of information?  How does case law effect the definition of “court mandate” under VAWA?
